JEAN MCGLYNN

Jean is best known for her multiple West End roles including Les Misérables, The Witches of Eastwick and South Pacific.

 

Jean trained at Mountview Academy, London (B.A. Hons), where she was the winner of the Mountview Singing Scholarship three years consecutively. She then went on to star in many West End and regional Musicals including the world renowned Les Miserables where she appeared in the roles of The Factory Girl and Fantine and also in the role of Nancy in Oliver!
 
Throughout her career Jean has had the very good fortune to have worked with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Ben Elton, Ian McShane, Jon Lee, Sir Cameron Mackintosh and in a stroke of luck, she even appeared onstage alongside Dame Judi Dench.
 
Her albums include The Witches of Eastwick, O.C.R., South Pacific, R.N.T. Revival and I Got Rhythm. She was a guest performer for Children in Need (BBC1), and featured artist in an N.F.U. television commercial. Jean has performed in various cabarets, including Limerick’s Leading Ladies, and Love Changes Everything, Fascinating Rhythm and lately The Savoy Sessions in Limerick.
 
She is also one of the founder members of the award winning Bare Space Theatre Company and has appeared in countless productions with Bare Space to date.
 
Jean currently has two stage schools and has also led performance workshops for Pineapple Dance Studios, North London Performing Arts Centre, The Royal National Theatre, Mary Immaculate College Limerick and countless schools in Britain and Ireland.
